Child Portraits
We have found that parents tend to stress more over child portraits that the photographer or the child. Our staff takes the time to let your child became comfortable in the studio and in front of the camera. We strive to capture that most natural expressions from your child. Clothing choices for children are generally left up to the parents. However we still have a few suggestions:
-
Denim jeans are timeless as well as solid colored shirts.
-
Shirts with pictures or words are distracting.
-
Most of the time, shoes do show in your photograph so be sure to have the proper shoes or let your little one go barefoot.
-
Have your child bring a special toy to be photographed with.
-
If your child wakes up sick the day of the session, he/she will most likely not feel well enough to have portraits taken. It is best if you call the studio to reschedule your session.
-
The photographer may ask only one or two people to come into the studio with the child. Often times, too many people make children distracted.
-
No matter how hard you try to protect them, children always seem to get a scratch or something the day before their portrait session. Boo-boos can be digitally fixed. Please arrive at the studio approximately 10-15 minutes before your session time
This will give your little one to familiarize themselves with the us and relax. If there are no sessions before, it will also give the photographer some “bonding” time with your little one.
